Using the 6–8 Desk app is an effective way to replace the traditional paper game sheet, but its real value is in how quickly and seamlessly it shares game information. As soon as the game ends, data is immediately available to sports information departments and coaches. Fans can also follow the flow of the game in real time—whether through simple stats like goals and exclusions, or more detailed metrics such as missed shots, goalie saves, and individual performance data—keeping even those who aren't in attendance fully engaged.
The 6-8 game desk has been extremely valuable to my coaching experience. Throughout the season, the game desk has allowed me to track the progress of our main game fundamentals whether it be turnovers, shots missed, exclusions etc. I've found that the platform is not only valuable for myself as a coach, but also extremely valuable to my players. By compiling play-by-play stats, I can structure the game in a way that makes film review sessions more clear and comprehensible for younger players.
