Chase Krupitzer

Long Beach State Men's Water Polo

Attacker | 4x Junior Olympics All-American | St. Francis HS

For Chase Krupitzer, the road to Division I water polo began before he even hit his teens. A fixture in the 6-8 Sports ecosystem since the age of 10, Chase used the program as a decade-long laboratory for growth. While many athletes stick to their own age groups, Chase thrived on the "6-8 philosophy" of constant challenge, regularly competing against players four to six years his senior.

By testing himself against 18-year-olds when he was just 12, Chase developed a physical and mental edge that eventually turned him into a scoring machine at St. Francis High School.

"I've been going to 6-8 Sports camps since I was 10. I loved challenging myself by playing with older kidssometimes I was just 12 playing alongside 16- and 18-year-olds. It kept me motivated and showed me what it took to reach the next level."

A MASTERCLASS IN GAME SENSE

The turning point in Chase's development came through the 6-8 Video Analysis. Watching Olympic legends Tony Azevedo and Maggie Steffens break down film in real-time provided Chase with a "masterclass" in game sense. He didn't just learn how to shoot; he learned how to see the pool the way the world's best players do.

This elevated IQ translated into staggering results: Chase shattered his high school's scoring records, netting 154 goals in a single season and earning First Team honors across WCAL, CCS, and NorCal.

A DECADE OF DOCUMENTED GROWTH

The 6-8 platform served as Chase's constant companion throughout his ten-year journey. His progression from a young camper to a 4x Junior Olympics All-American was documented through the 6-8 Mobile App, providing a long-term data trail of his evolution. This consistency and "workhorse" mentality caught the eye of the coaching staff at Long Beach State, where Chase's size (6'4") and high-IQ scoring ability made him a perfect fit for the Beach.

PURSUING A CHAMPIONSHIP

Now a student-athlete at Long Beach State, Chase continues to apply the lessons of the "6-8 family" as he pursues a championship in the Big West.

"Watching Tony and Maggie review tapes and explain exactly what they look for was a game-changer. Their insights helped me develop my skills and my overall understanding of the game, ultimately leading to my D1 offer from Long Beach."
